Fellow congregants:  In the event that you are merely curious about tonight's feast, here is the beginnings of the menu.  I'm making 17-bean soup with some of that sausage I got in Greenville, AL at the smokehouse, fire-roasted organic tomatoes and yummy homemade stock for the cooking liquid.  I've got several other things going in the kitchen that should delight and please.  I look forward to tonight's worship service. Beauregard is working on another batch of recipe for your liquid refreshments.  Preston won't be with us tonight as he decided that the Auburn/Vandy game was a must do...his duties will need to be spread to others.   I'm off to the German Bakery, Farmer's market, hardware and liquor stores.  See you at sunset!

Special Sunday Congregation

Posted on Oct 7th, 2007 by Mistress Heather : Muse, Queen Mistress Heather

It was a lovely evening at the Church of the Porch. A rare Sunday High Communion was held.  Preston has returned from the "game" and was able to performs his duties for communion.  Thanks Preston!  I appreciate your helping me realign my spine.  Dinner was yummy and I appreciate your help in making it so.  The porch is closing early tonight.  They are in Talladega if you know what I mean.

Thanks to all who suffered through my story ideas today.  I'll sit down and do some rough drafting on the puter this week.  Embellishing the truth is harder than the republicans make it look.

Professional Bull Riding

Posted on Oct 17th, 2007 by Mistress Heather : Muse, Queen Mistress Heather
The world finals are coming up in a couple of weeks.  It will air on Fox network.  There isn't much better to me than watching men in chaps!  I love the bulls and the cowboys!  It is the toughest sport on dirt and I highly recommend watching an event.  The PBR was started by 20 cowboys who all ponied up a thousand dollars.  Now the sport is huge and those 20 cowboys have made a bunch of money and brought us the wonderful world of bull riding.  My personal favorite bull now is "Scene of the Crash".  He is partly owned by Ron White the redneck comedian.  Check it out ya'll, you might find a new passion in this sport.  I'm forever adding to my list of things that intrigue.

Are We All One?

Posted on Oct 18th, 2007 by Mistress Heather : Muse, Queen Mistress Heather

Are we all one?  Is the soul an individual or merely a collection?  Are we both a collection and an individual?

I've always thought we are both an individual spirit that is part of the collective.  The collective is the fountain of energy where all the spiritual energy that is, has been or ever will be is gathered.  With each trip we make to our planet as embodied spirits do we add another layer of dimension?  I think perhaps we do.  It helps us to explain when we are familiar with things or places or tasks we have not done, seen or felt in this lifetime.

Have you ever visited a place for the first time and known that you have been there before?  I had a friend who visited the pyramids for the first time.  It was his biggest desire to make it to see them.  He had seen them being built in his dreams and felt he had participated in the building in another lifetime.  When he got there, he KNEW he had been there before and began to flash back to a time during their construction.  It wasn't just familiar.  He remembered intimate details about them.

If you believe in reincarnation and I do, then it seems feasible and likely that there is a memory imprint which can be accessed.

Any thoughts anyone?

Dreams

Posted on Oct 27th, 2007 by Mistress Heather : Muse, Queen Mistress Heather
I find it difficult to recall my dreams after a few minutes of awakening.  I have such vivid dreams in my sleep.  I can tell when I am feeling insecure based on what is happening in my dreams, at least for the two minutes after I wake up.  Last night, or rather this morning I had a dream about my beloved Beauregard, my consort.  He is now in trouble for his behavior in my dream.

How can I forgive him?

The Path and Finding Balance

Posted on Oct 28th, 2007 by Mistress Heather : Muse, Queen Mistress Heather
Our purpose sometimes get lost in the bustle of life; the things we do and say shape our worlds.  We are all connected and should remember how to maintain the balance.  Our individual balance contributes to the balance of others.  OUR positive influence affects not only our own lives but of those whose lives we are attached to.  Gaining inner peace is a reward for loving appropriately.  It is a sowing of positive energy and releasing from ourselves the negative energy accumulated from a variety of sources.

To behave in a way that honors is rewarding.  All the answers we require are there for the asking.

Two important parts are Love and Forgiveness.  Through forgiveness comes acceptance and acceptance is an expression of love.  Let your life be your story, we can all influence the outcome.
We are responsible for our actions and should never alter how we do something because of external pressures, rather we should keep a vision and focus of a positive path.  The path will reveal itself.  It may appear that the path is the wrong path to some but it is merely a turn as the path is always right.  You are blessed to be taking the path and should be grateful of the path.  There are lessons to be learned and experiences to be gained from the path.  We often live oblivious to the path.  When you finally "get the point" of the path, then JOY comes to the journey.

When a person reaches a level of understanding it is difficult to watch the others around us who aren't figuring it out.  Try to focus a group of thoughts that recognizes that we aren't all on the same spiritual rung of the ladder.  There are levels of achievement and in recognizing this one must not judge others.  An individual path leads them to where they need to be, it may not be where you think they need to be.
